Life Lessons From Satchmo

Author of the book Live Like Louis! Phil presents important moments of Satchmo's life (including some fun jazz history), musical highlights, and several important life lessons from Louis's amazing journey. It culminates in "What a Wonderful World" with audience participation encouraged!

Phil also has a very well-received 20-minute version of this for churches, called The Gospel According to Satchmo. It focuses primarily on how Louis knew our common purpose: to build up and contribute to others; and on how Louis fulfilled his specific role in our great calling.

The Great American Songbook
Let Phil take your listeners on a chronological trip through those great American songs made famous by folks like Satchmo, Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and now Michael Bublé. Songs include those by Kern, the Gershwins, Harold Arlen, and the like, featuring both ballads and uptempo numbers. Phil has been playing and studying these songs all his life -- he'll really bring alive the history and worth of this musical heritage that so deserves to be known and loved. This fun and informative presentation is perfect for Jazz Appreciation Month in April.
